The vision to create this asset for the community comes from the Town of Cambridge who owns and manages the venue.

Recently awarded the WA Metropolitan Golf Facility of the Year for 2023.

Our Golf Courses

THE OLD COURSE

The Old Course dates back to 1932, when Walter Fox set out the initial eighteen holes.

Stretching to nearly 5,800 meters from the back tees, this par-72 course still features original routing and a number of dog legs.

THE TUART COURSE

The Tuart Course has evolved since the first nine was completed in 1959 and is slightly shorter than the Old Course.

Measuring a total of 5,372 meters from the back tees, this par-70 course features tighter fairways and water features on two holes.

Today, we bid farewell to our General Manager, Jason Roach as he embarks on the next chapter of his career.

For the past five years, Jason has played a significant role in shaping Wembley Golf Course into what it is today. From the introduction of Trackman Range, the resurfacing of the Mini Golf, the opening of the Wembley Golf Custom Studio, to name a few, Jason has worked hard to strengthen our place as Australia`s Best Public Golf Experience.

Whilst he will be missed, we wish Jason all the best in his future endeavours.

Meet Andrew Marchbank, or “Marchy” as we like to call him! He’s one of our fantastic Pro Shop Supervisors at Wembley Golf Course.

A true golf enthusiast, Marchy completed his PGA Traineeship in Brisbane. His journey has taken him to 10 different courses across three states, including Keperra, Royal Queensland, and Hyatt Coolum in Queensland; Moore Park in Sydney; and Royal Fremantle, Whaleback, and Seaview in Perth. He’s been a fully qualified PGA member since 2004.

Marchy joined Wembley Golf Course in late November 2022 and is approaching his third anniversary with the team. When he’s not at work, he loves everything ocean-related, often exploring beaches and coastlines with his wife and two boys. At home, he finds joy in cooking while listening to music.

A fun tidbit about Marchy is his passion for hickory clubs, often having a few in rotation when he plays!

Julian Putter - or as we fondly call him, “Putts” - has now been part of the Wembley Golf Course team for 15 years. 🎉

Starting as a Pro Shop Assistant in 2010, he quickly progressed to Stock Coordinator just 18 months later. Over the years, Putts has witnessed and contributed to the growth of the facility, helping shape it into what it is today.

Originally from South Africa, Julian began his career as a PGA professional at Pezula in 2005 and managed the Pro Shop from 2006 to 2010 before moving to Australia. Wembley Golf Course was his first Aussie job - and he’s never looked back!

Julian says it’s been a privilege to watch the course evolve over the years. Outside of work, he enjoys coaching cricket, fishing, and of course, playing golf.

His story is a powerful reminder that doing what you love can make all the difference. His cystic fibrosis diagnosis initially inspired him to pursue his passion for golf, and we’re so glad he did.

Thank you, Julian, for 15 incredible years. What an achievement!
